The AR55 Twin Pack is a revolutionary portable asphalt reclaimer as well as a “hot box” asphalt transport and storage system. Comprised of two AR55 (Cookie Boxes) it has a fully loaded capacity of roughly 1.1 ton and fits in the back of any full size pickup truck. The included guard kit will allow filling of the boxes at any asphalt plant without mess or damage to burner components. Hot material can be maintained throughout the work day by utilizing the twin 50,000 btu burners provided. Upon completion of work, excess asphalt can be formed into “cookies” and left to cool for use another day. Each AR55 comprising a Twin Pack is also a revolutionary portable infra-red asphalt reclaimer . It is designed to reheat virgin or recycled asphalt products to working temperature in minutes instead of hours. Cold asphalt products in chunks or pre-maid cookie form are placed inside the box on a grating. The infra-red burner is lit and the lid is closed. In approximately 7-10 minutes roughly 200 lbs. of heated material falls through the grating into the heated holding area ready to be accessed through the shovel port. The heating process is unaffected by season or temperature and heated product is untouched by an open flame thus preserving its original integrity. All burners can be fired simultaneously or independently as needed using propane gas. Each unit is constructed of 14ga. steel throughout with a heavy barred grating suspended inside the heating chamber. Self-storing handles nest together and are provided for easy transport and loading. Each unit has a striker, high volume regulator, 10’ hoses and 50,000 btu burner/ lighting wand.
